Caritas Homa Bay, in partnership with Cheshire Disability Services Kenya, implemented the activity to facilitate the formation of youth and children's advocacy groups like 'Young Voices & Alumni' in Homa Bay and Migori Counties. This initiative aimed to empower youth and children by enhancing their advocacy skills, fostering their participation in decision-making processes, and creating platforms for them to address community issues. Funded by Cheshire Disability Services Kenya, the project successfully established these groups, provided training in advocacy and leadership, facilitated networking with local stakeholders, and monitored progress to ensure effective community engagement and impact. The formation of youth and children’s groups for lobby and advocacy, such as ‘Young Voices & Alumni, has empowered young people, raised awareness about various issues, influenced policy decisions, fostered community engagement, and contributed to the personal development of youth. These groups have successfully advocated for their causes, leading to policy changes that improve the lives of youth and children
