At Kuja Special Primary School in Rongo, Caritas Homa Bay, focused on establishing and strengthening Disability Inclusion Clubs to promote the rights and participation of students with disabilities. Undertaken by the Catholic Diocese of Homa Bay and funded by Cheshire Disability Services Kenya, the initiative involved forming clubs, training members, conducting awareness campaigns, and implementing peer support programs to foster an inclusive environment. Key outcomes include increased awareness of disability issues, enhanced inclusion, empowered students, and greater community engagement. Despite resource limitations and attitudinal barriers, the activity has made significant progress.
