Caritas Homa Bay with the support of Cheshire Disability Services Kenya, lobbied for the inclusive design and equipping of disability services centers/rooms in 30% of health centers and dispensaries within the project areas by 2025, at Treat House Resort. The goal was to ensure that health facilities were accessible and equipped to provide adequate services for individuals with disabilities. Advocacy activities included engaging with health authorities, presenting the need for inclusive infrastructure, and advocating for the provision of specialized equipment and trained personnel. Outcomes included heightened awareness among stakeholders about the importance of inclusive health infrastructure and initial plans for the adaptation of selected facilities.
