Caritas Homabay under the Catholic Diocese of Homa Bay, with support from Cheshire Disability Services Kenya, advocated for the inclusion of disability data in the Management Information System (MIS) at the dispensary level at Kaswanga Community Hall. The activity aimed to ensure that dispensary data systems capture disability-related information, which is crucial for planning, resource allocation, and improving healthcare services for individuals with disabilities. Advocacy efforts included engaging with health authorities, training dispensary staff on the importance of disability data, and providing technical support for system updates. Outcomes included increased awareness of the need for inclusive data collection, commitment from health authorities to update MIS systems, and improved tracking of disability-related health services.
