Caritas Homa Bay, with the support of Cheshire Disability Services Kenya, conducted training and sensitization sessions on advocacy for service providers, partner organizations, organizations of persons with disabilities (OPDs), networks, and other stakeholders in the disability movement at Cardinal Otunga Pastoral Centre. The training aimed to enhance the advocacy skills of these key groups, enabling them to effectively promote the rights and inclusion of people with disabilities at local, regional, and national levels. Topics covered included disability rights, legislative frameworks, strategic advocacy approaches, and coalition-building for disability inclusion. Outcomes included strengthened advocacy capacity, increased collaboration among stakeholders, and heightened awareness of disability issues within the community.
